Margie Searcy Alford graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1974, and has had a trial practice for over thirty-three of her thirty-four plus years as an attorney.
Among many other offices and activities, Margie Searcy Alford served two terms as National Chairperson of the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus, and two terms as National Chairperson of the Environmental and Toxic Tort Law Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now named the Section on Toxic, Environmental, and Pharmaceutical Torts of the American Association for Justice).
Among many other honors, she was chosen the Most Outstanding Young Career Woman in Alabama by the Alabama Federation of Business and Professional Women, and is in over one hundred Who's Who type publications.
She is the principal author and editor-in-chief of a five volume set of law books published by Lexis Nexis entitled A Guide To Toxic Torts, a contributing author to the Lexis Nexis four volume set entitled Drug Product Liability, a contributing author to the two volume set Alabama Civil Practice Forms, the author of numerous Expert Commentaries published by Lexis Nexis, and is the author of hundreds of other published articles on legal topics.
Attorney Alford speaks both English and Spanish.
Margie Searcy Alford is involved in many civic and charitable activities, has served on a number of boards, and has a special interest in programs and organizations that work to make the environment a cleaner, healthier, and safer place.
